Worth It
The Pico do Arieiro has been there for some time and is considered the second highest on the island of Madeira, after Pico Ruivo which is almost 2000 meters high (1860), it takes 30 minutes to get there by car. It appears almost as a lunar landscape with rugged mountains and hillsides covered with eucalyptus and laurel trees. When ascending, at about 900 meters, you can pass through clouds before reaching a sunny landscape of volcanic rocks. At the top you can see the valleys and mountain ranges with sharp peaks at that time I took few photographs, which invites me to come again and enjoy nature and the beautiful scenery which covers the island.
