Piazza Regina Margherita

Ogni qual volta mi reco a Grottaglie mi piace attraversare il suo centro storico e dal castello arrivare fino in Piazza Regina Margherita. Sono dell’idea che questa piazza sia la più bella del paese, negli anni molte giunte comunali hanno provato a costruirne di nuove nella parte superiore del centro abitato, ma come si fa ad eguagliare secoli e secoli di storia antica. Questa piazza, infatti ospita palazzi storici, adesso chiusi o adibiti a circoli, associazioni. La meravigliosa facciata principale della Chiesa Madre affaccia proprio su questa piazza e i numerosi bar e ristoranti permettono ogni sera che questa location suggestiva si popoli di ragazzi e turisti.

Whenever I go to Grottaglie I like to cross its old town and castle go up in Piazza Regina Margherita. I am dellidea that this square is the most beautiful of the country, over the years many city councils have tried to build new ones in the upper part of town, but how do we match centuries and centuries of ancient history. This square, hosts historic buildings, now closed or used as clubs, associations. The wonderful main front of the Mother Church overlooks right this square and numerous bars and restaurants allow every night this location is picturesque peoples of kids and tourists.
