Piazza Garibaldi

Una piazzetta gioiello, su cui si affacciano alcuni tra i più suggestivi edifici della città. La fontana al centro regala un ulteriore deliziosa caratteristica a questo luogo che si trova immediatamente al di fuori della porta di accesso principale della città. La piazza si apre infatti proprio dietro la cattedrale, dove si trovano anche caffè e ristoranti.

A jewel square, overlooked by some of the most impressive buildings in the city. The fountain at the center offers an additional feature to this lovely place which is located immediately outside the main gate of the city. The square is in fact just behind the cathedral, where there are also cafes and restaurants.

Narni è un piccolo borgo del centro Italia; e non potrebbe essere più centrale di così. A Narni cade infatti il centro geografico dell’Italia, ed è stata questa sua caratteristica ad attirarmi fin qui. Sono stata in Umbria tante volte ma mi ero limitata alle zone più classiche e famose, ma Narni è stata davvero una bella scoperta. Una delle parti che mi è piaciuta di più è stata Piazza Garibaldi, al di fuori della porta d’ingresso della città. È una piazza bellissima, un vero gioiellino, soprattutto la sera quando si accendono le luci che si riflettono sui sanpietrini da cui è coperta. Al centro c’è una fontana, semplice ma molto delicata, e sulla piazza si affacciano edifici in pietra e altri coloratissimi, creando un contrasto affascinante.

Narni a small village in central Italy; and it could not be more than so central. In Narni it is indeed the geographical center dellItalia, and it was this characteristic that attracted so far. I was in Umbria many times but I was limited to the most classic and famous areas, but Narni was a really nice find. One of the parts that I liked the most was Piazza Garibaldi, outside the front door of the city. a beautiful square, a real gem, especially in the evening when the lights reflected on the cobblestones from which blanket. To c central fountain, simple but very delicate, and on the square facing stone buildings and other colorful, creating a fascinating contrast.
