Piazza del Duomo

You can get to this square by passing under the arches of the Palazzo della Ragione; you can't help but be enchanted by the elegance of the religious buildings enclosed in this small space. First is the extraordinary Colleoni Chapel, flankked by the beautiful church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Then, in front the baptistery, there's the cathedral dedicated to St Alexander. All these buildings are arranged in an asymmetrical way, so as to offer visitors new perspectives from every corner of the square.
