Phalen Beach

Lake Phalen is a mini oasis in the center of residential Saint Paul. Walk along the pavement around the entire lake for a great workout- there is a bike and a walking trail, so make sure to stay on the correct one. In the summers there are Dragon Boat races and an all day festival that is hard to beat. Place soccer or volley ball with friends, rent out the picnic tables, grill out and throw a party. Try looking for different types of birds as you walk- if you're lucky you may just catch sight of a Blue Heron (or 2!)

It's a beautiful green space that is enjoyed by many. There is always something going on at Lake Phalen.
