Plantations of tea and cardamons
About an hour from Munnar, at an altitude of about 1,500 meters above sea level, it the summer resort of the former British administration in South India, due to its cool climate. Huge extensions of cardamom and tea plantations from which you can see colonial bungalows, most now converted into hotels. It is a very rainy and foggy most of the year, and between the fog you see women picking tea leaves on very steep slopes. Its very hard work, under the constant rain and fog. When suddenly the sun comes out, there are a variety of gorgeous green shades. It is a landscape of rolling hills, completely covered with tea bushes, neatly arranged forming corridors and labyrinths.
