Pelourinho de Tarouca

Between City Hall and St. Peter's Church , is where you'll find the TAROUCA Pelourinho, which has been declared a Public Interest Property (IPP) [/ b]. It is a cherry or justice roll, built of granite and consists of a square base pedestal resting on a platform of three steps. On top of the obelisk is a capital in which they appear carved coats of arms of the town, that has a pineapple-esque shape on top.
