There are plenty of tours offering options to get to Maya Bay, but in my opinion, the best is to rent a longtail boat just for you and your group of friends. The cheapest way is to go straight to the pier and negotiate with the boatmen. Be firm when haggling. You can choose a tour of 4-6 hours. If you just want to go to Maya Bay, four hours is fine, but if you want to make some additional stops for snorkeling, then go for the full day.
