Paseo del Rastro

The Paseo del Rastro is a scenic walkways that extends around the Rastro Gate of Ávila's old city walls. The street offers two views which are really quite stunning: 1.) the countryside and meadows surrounding the old city, and 2.) the amazingly well-preserved defensive walls. It's common to see people from all walks of life gathering here to have a chat in the sun and plenty of couples enjoying the unbeatable views.

An extraordinary walk with stunning views of the plateau that surrounds this beautiful city, a beauty worth watching. It breathes much of our history within the walls of this city, thanks to the citizens of Avila, for taking care of our heritage! I recommend coming here and enjoying all it has to offer the visitors.
