Parque Nacional Histórico

El parque nacional histórico de Trakai fue nombrado como tal en 1992 por el gobierno lituano, pero la importancia de la zona ya venía de tiempo atrás, sobre todo por su famoso castillo, hoy una de las atracciones más importantes de esta zona. Pero dejando a un lado su castillo, y alejándonos unos pocos kilómetros, el parque nacional histórico de Trakai cuenta con muchísimas hectáreas de bosques y lagos en los que es una maravilla perderse y realizar distintas rutas de senderismo. Muchas de esas rutas, están señalizadas con pequeños caminos de madera que cruzan bosques y bordean algunos de los lagos de la zona. Con recorridos en su mayor parte planos, estas rutas son aptas para todo el mundo, ya que están exentas de dificultad. Una de las mejores cosas que tienen, es la tranquilidad que aportan, ya que si te quedas en silencio, no se oye ni un solo ruido más allá del cantar de los pájaros y el susurro del viento, lo que es una verdadera gozada. Durante el recorrido podemos ver distintas plantas típicas de esta zona de los bálticos. Árboles como el pino, o el tan característico roble abundan por estos bosques, pero si hay una planta especial que destaca aquí, esas son los líquenes, los cuales por cierto están protegidos, por lo que es recomendable no salirse de los caminos de madera para no pisarlos. Por cierto, que estos bosques están plagados de setas, por lo que según la época del año en que los visitéis, os podréis ir a casa con un buen puñado de ellas bajo el brazo.
