Doctor Areilza Park

Dr Areilza Park is located in the town of Portugalete, next to Peñota train station, and close to the famous Canopy Walkway and Portugalete pools. It is a small park with benches, trees and a pond with goldfish. Formerly there were cages with monkeys in, which is why many people know it as "monkey park". Today, all that remains of the monkeys are statues near the pond. It is one of the few parks in the city, and it is well worth a visit.
