In the evening, the sky over Haulover Park explodes in a riot of colors, not only because of the sunset, but also the kites flying high overhead. Skyward Kites, a kiosk, will sell you kites with various features, from plain to colorful. The staff are very helpful, and prices range from $5 to $15. You can also buy ice cream and soft drinks. Interestingly, the spot has an alternative energy system, using solar panels instead of conventional electricity. Parking is free.
