Parque Ankara Çaglayan (Lefkoşa)

Este parque fue terminado hace bien poco, con la ayuda económica de estados Unidos y la Unión Europea, las cuáles están haciendo muchos esfuerzo por la definitiva integración entre el sur y el norte de Chipre. Lleva el nombre de un político turco, Zafer Çağlayan; quien fue ministro turco entre 2007 y 2011, con el actual presidente de Turquía, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. El parque es una de las pocas zonas verdes y con sombra de las que se pueden disfrutar. Se localiza a los pies del Bastión de Loredano, uno de los magníficos (y bien conservados) bastiones de la muralla de Nicosia.

This park was completed recently, with the financial support of United States and the EU, which are making many efforts to the ultimate integration between southern and northern Cyprus. It is named after a Turkish politician, Zafer Çağlayan; Turkish minister who served between 2007 and 2011, the current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The park is one of the few green areas and shaded from which you can enjoy. Located at the foot of Bastion Loredano, one of the great (and well preserved) bastions of the walls of Nicosia.
