A bird's eye view
The park of Pinos de Plasencia has a bird's eye view. It is certainly the best place to enjoy a bird park and botanic garden where, in summer, you can escape the tenacious heat of Plasencia. When you're a few hundred miles from the sea, a place like this, wrapped by endless trees, with running water, cooling channels and 500 birds becomes an oasis. Its nearly 54,000 m2 and a climb allows visitors to see a nice view of the city. Luckily, the park is strewn with fountains which splash through the mouth of a frog and help you see 100+ bird species and a variety of trees. From the Pinus pinaster and Pinus pinea who give their name to the park, passing through numerous species of the ash, you may be awed by poplars, willows, elms or even the rarest ginkgo bilobas.
