1 review of Parish Church of San Pedro

XVI century Renaissance

The Parish Church of San Pedro is in Plaza Redonda and is considered to be one of the best examples of Renaissance churches in western Andalusia. It was built in the sixteenth century with typically Moorish materials, with three naves and flat head. It has suffered several later additions to give it the appearance we see today, such as three chapels (eighteenth century), the sacristy and current cover (eighteenth century), and the file room and rectory (nineteenth century). It is open only during services, which during summer are Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and the eves of public holidays.
