Parejas Square

En Aranjuez se respira historia en cada uno de sus rincones y la verdad es que me llevé una grata sorpresa al aparcar junto a esta Plaza de Parejas de Aranjuez. Hace tiempo que había estado en esta localidad, pero no recordaba este rincón tan bonito y con tanto encanto de la localidad. Frente a esta plaza, está el conocido y relajante Jardín del Parterre. Una de las principales razones que me llevó a andar por esta plaza fue que se situa junto al Palacio Real y está dentro de una de las rutas que recorre la localidad. Pese a todo no hay muchas personas que conozcan la historia de su nombre pero en su momento me puse a leer que era lo que significaba Plaza de las Parejas y a qué hacía referencia lo de "parejas". En concreto hace referencia a un baile, desfile o juego en el que participaban cuarenta y ocho caballeros que estaban dispuestos en cuatro filas y delante de los cuales iba uno de los hijos del rey. A primera vista te fijarás en los arcos de uno de los edificios de la plaza que es la Casa de Oficios y Caballeros. También hay que destacar la Casa de los Fogones. Para los que desean continuar su visita, les recomiendo pasear por los jardines de la localidad, entre los que te recordaré el Jardín de Isabel II que es uno de los mas pequeños pero con mas encanto de Aranjuez.

In Aranjuez breathes history in every corner and the truth is that I was pleasantly surprised to park next to the Plaza de Parejas de Aranjuez. It has long been in this town, but did not remember this part so pretty and so much charm of the town. Facing this plaza is the familiar and relaxing Parterre Garden. One of the main reasons that led me to walk in this place was that it is located near the Royal Palace and is within one route that runs through the town. Nevertheless there are not many people who know the history of its name but at the time I read that was what it meant Square and what the couples referred to as "partners." Specifically refers to a dance, parade or game that involved forty-eight gentlemen who were arranged in four rows and in front of which was one of the king's sons. At first glance you'll set in the arches of one of the buildings in the square which is the House of Trades and Knights. Also note Cookers House. For those who wish to continue your visit, I recommend strolling through the gardens of the town, among which you'll remember the Garden of Elizabeth II is one of the smallest but most charming of Aranjuez.

En esta plaza nos encontramos con las vistas del lateral izquierdo del Palacio Real, las casas de la misma época y el hotel NH Príncipe de la Paz ( era un antiguo cuartel de caballería, Pavía).

In this square we find the views of the left side of the Royal Palace, the houses of the same period and the NH Príncipe de la Paz hotel (it was an old cavalry barracks, Pavia).
