We love to get away from the crowds and the everyday routine, to be far from everybody, alone, enjoying our time. We couldn’t resist the opportunity to spend a night in Teide, far from everything.

We enjoyed the landscape, in a solitary place, the freshness, the starry night…This is the state-owned hotel located inside the national park. The building is new, but you still feel in the mountains. It is next to a small church. There are amazing views fo the Teide and the Roques de García.

With the night, the sky appears different; there are no more tourists or hikers, only a few guests, like us, that breathe peace and tranquility: being 2350 meters above sea level, it is the only thing one can do. No party animals, no drunks.

Our favorite thing about these hotels is that you can enjoy the calm in the different salons. The main one has a wooden décor and a great chimney, with comfortable sofas, where you can rest after a day of hiking. And to recover your strength after the hike, there is nothing better than a meal made of local products of the island.

High Quality Meal

Few hotels have views similar to the ones in Parador de Cañadas del Teide, and few hotels are located in such a special place: from the windows you can enjoy the majesty of de Teide, and the calm atmosphere of the restaurant allows you to enjoy each bite.

We had a tasting menu that included local products and some more exotic ones. We had melon gazpacho, a cheese plate with croquettes, pumpkin cream and fish. Mmmmm!
