Universal Exhibition
If you are looking for an overdose of socialist realism tackier than the ввц, this is your place. Designed for a universal exhibition (the idea was thought up after) its success among the population made them decide to keep it permanently. Everything has an air of decay. Some pavilions are a kind of permanent FITUR booth (Armenia), others are falling down (Kyrgyzstan) and others, such as the one dedicated to Lenin, in a sort of perfect historical irony, have been transformed into shopping centers.
It's a good place to spend a sunny morning. And you can also find interesting restaurants.
