Travertine Pools

Most of the travelers who come to Pamukkale do so to see the Travertine Pools. Although access to the pools and the baths are banned, it is thought that approaching them and wandering through the limestone formations to admire the turquoise waters and the white stone is healing in and of itself. It is striking contrast between the rough and very terrestrial landscape and these pools that seem made of snow whiter. A very special and ancient Romans knew and used as a summer resort, and quesus and the calcium rich waters are good for relaxing muscles and tendons.

Pamukkale

In ancient Heriapolis, city of ancient civilizations, there's an interesting landscape of limestone and hot springs called Pamukkale. When looking at photographs of this place it may seem like it's a snowy mountain of cotton. Then, however, there are the rocks and sediments carried by the hot water flowing from the earth.

beyaz cennet pamukkale

Pamukkale is one of the most wonderful natural beauties of the world and Turkey. The city of Denizli is one of Turkey's largest exporting cities, and apart from Pamukkale, there are many ancient cities to visit and see, caves and food culture to taste. While visiting Pamukkale, it saves travelers a lot to spend time in Denizli. 'https://www.pamukkaleotelleri.com/'

Pammakale or Heaven at Your Side

The Pammakale Gardens are a unique place that can be found in the heart of Turkey. It really is like walking in heaven or on mountains of cotton, there are hot springs and in the top of the mountain remains of a cantina. Hellenic and beautiful wherever you look, strange, striking, perfect to visit in summer.

Unforgettable sunset

This was an unforgettable sunset over the natural pools of Pamukkale, Turkey. Undoubtedly, it's one of the country's must-sees despite the damage that has been caused because of the site's previous poor management in recent years and the massive influx of tourists.

Pamukkale's terraces

Pamukkale is an amazing display of natural hot water pools in Denizli Province, south-western Turkey. The pools are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water from the hot springs.

White Thermal Pools in Pamukkale

What better place to bathe than the same place Cleopatra did it? In the beautifully white hot springs it's like being in another world!

Out of a fairy tale

Salido de un cuento de hadas

Turquía es una enorme caja de sorpresas. Y todas agradables.
Turkey is a huge box of surprises. And all nice. Its territory has more than a dream like Pamukkale or Cotton Castle would be the most accurate translation in our language. It is a site composed of thermal water springs in the mountains that formed pools on terraces. Formations are caused by the action of water on limestone deposits. The thermal pool water attracts visitors who enjoy under the scorching sun. It's a fascinating landscape and the contrast of the water, the green, the salt mountain and tanned bodies it makes it somewhat surreal. Unique. Pamukkale is one of the most beautiful parts of the world. It is located next to the site of Hierapolis. Since ancient times, hundreds of thousands of tourists have come to these sources. Cal layers took indefinable forms that together form an incredible visual spectacle that is confused in the distance with snow. But this is not the only attraction as Hierapolis is a reservoir of history. There you can see the buildings of the Romans. As the baths, the baths and the magnificent theater, which still shows its best visitors. They are themselves works of art. Exhibit a delicate architecture remaining as testimony of the passage of time. The water contains large amounts of calcium and bicarbonate. It is estimated that each time correspond to these sources about 200 liters of water. And in these whimsical formations aspect terraces visitors enjoy them, being shallow, down natural steps. Walk slowly through the valley of salt and enjoy the scenery after soaking for a while in these waters with healing properties. Both Hierapolis Pamukkale, is a World Heritage Site since 1988 and the government has a plan to conserve and preserve the action of the human hand, a few years ago, was intended to alter the urban landscape with the construction of hotel complexes. Since the late twentieth century, this action has been faced with determination by the Turkish authorities. The day I visit Pamukkale will never forget what I saw.

Beo between algonones

Ever since I saw an advertisement for...

After having visited the feeling is somewhat bittersweet, in the pool you can not swim, not all are full, are divided into sectors, depending on the day of the week, fill one side or another, and are slow to fill, so if you go early, you will not see in its full splendor, this is what happened to us .... It is certainly a unique and must be visited, is a wonder of nature, the cotton castle, formed by a natural phenomenon, to the ravines comes a water at 35 º C temperature dragging calcite, which over solidify time, Dull and conviertiendo in whimsical figures like stalactites in caves. Depending from the area that we see, like a cotton castle or a snow-covered plateau, is all an illusion, because it is marble.

Hierpolis: Thermal center since ancient times

The city of Hierapolis grew thanks to the hot springs, it was home to numerous patients who expected to find in the waters to cure their ills, which also led to one of the most important ancient cemeteries.

The word Pamukkale means cotton castle,...

The word Pamukkale means cotton castle, surely a better name does not exist! In front of this city remains letteralemente to wide-eyed! You can see a series of terraces of white hot water which flows slowly. They are natural spas. The waters flowing floor are rich in limestone that is deposited every day on this plateau creating this fairy-tale landscape. Cleopatra also found dining here, so that an area (closed and paid) is called Baths of Cleopatra. Immerse yourself in these waters, it is a wonderful feeling!

Pamukkale

This cotton castle, was named a World Heritage Site in 1988. It is an almost unique in the world because their "pools" are formed by the accumulation of minerals on the ground and the way out of the earth. It is a very special landscape that impresses when you see it for the first time, a white sea near the town of Pamukkale and the foot of the mountain. It has 2 inputs, one for the bottom and one at top. It is advisable to go for the bottom, as it directly accesses the pool and you can climb them and getting wet walking through the aroyos feet. Perhaps if summer even swim in the pools. Once up, you can visit the Roman hierapolis, currently in ruins. Admission charge but worth it.
