Baroque hotel in Venice
I loved the Hotel Palazzo Priuli. Although we went to Venice in August when the heat is unbearable and the canals are full of tourists, our room was an oasis. It wasn't the best (others have shaded balconies), but it was the attic room (a definite plus) and was spacious with a high baroque bed, dresser and antique wardrobe with tinted mirror. The bathroom was modern and complete, and there were three windows overlooking the canals and the gondolas. The breakfast was nice, served in a parlor with the same neo-baroque design. The hotel is located behind St Mark's Square so it's in a good location to roam the city.
