Palazzina Carandini

La graziosa palazzina sorge in Piazza d'Azeglio in un terreno che fu edificato solamente verso la fine dell'Ottocento in corrispondenza al trasferimento della capitale a Roma. Il terreno fu acquistato da Gian Giacomo Carandini dove fece costruire la palazzina di cui si parla. Rimase di proprietà della famiglia per tanto tempo, ovvero, fino alla morte dell'ultimo discendente. Dopo, l'edificio fu regalato ai Seminari Arcivescovili di Modena per poi essere venduto al Credito Agrario toscano. Esteticamente, la facciata appare divisa in due parti: la parte inferiore che è rivestita in bugnato e presenta delle finestre rettangolare e lineari, la parte superiore a mattoni che ha invece delle graziose finestre con timpano. Uno splendico cornicione sovrasta il tutto.

A cornice splendico dominates everything.
