10 reviews of Palau Güell

Sometimes is forgotten, but it is indespensable

This building is sometimes forgotten when visiting Barcelona, but I like it a lot, and like Güell Park and Casa Batlló, I think it is one of the buildings you shouldn't leave out in Barcelona.

It is located in Nou de la Rambla street, that is to say, when you go down Las Ramblas, a street on your right, on the Raval side. It is a very luxurious building built by Gaudí, entrusted by the great patron Eusebi Güell (who had the buildings which turned into the Güell Park built as well as the residential development of Santa Coloma de Cervello). Eusebi and his family lived there around 1888 and several events were celebrated there during the Universal Exposition in the same year.
