Marqués de Mirabel palace

The Marquis de Mirabel Palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in the historic center of Plasencia, and is in the most beautiful and authentic squares of the city: the Plaza de San Nicolas. It was built in the fifteenth century by the Dukes of Plasencia, Alvaro de Zuniga and his wife, Isabel Pimentel.

You can go inside but you have to reserve a visit in advance. The entrance is found in an archway that connects the square with the C/Esparrillas. From here you can see a tall tower with a magnificent Renaissance shield and a balcony.

It is also worth mentioning are the italian style stairs and the beautiful neoclassical cloister with various shields.
