Abba Palacio de Soñanes Hotel

This is an amazing place with Rococo façade, Renaissance interior, and spacious rooms that are all very different. Both the rooms and the dining rooms are traditionally decorated and entering seems as if you are in another era.

We purchased the room through a travel agency and buffet breakfast was included. You won’t go hungry, I can assure you. They have a website with deals, but I’d recommend looking at either the agencies or their own personal website.

Dinner and lunch are also available in the hotel itself, but we chose to eat out since the hotel restaurant was only a la carte, expensive, and served extremely small portions.

In beautiful Villacarriedo, the Palacio de Soñanes Hotel is simply amazing. To find such luxury in the small town seems almost like a contradiction at first.

The splendid palace was built in the early 18th century and is one of the most spectacular Baroque buildings in Cantabria. It’s located in the beautiful rural valley of Carriedo.

The interiors have been completely renovated and decorated with a decidedly modern and touch, which enhances the original features of the palace like the grand staircase, the ceilings, and the halls. It’s an incredible and romantic place at the gates
