Historic palace-hotel
This is a nice, rustic-style hotel in the historic district of Almuñecar. The building itself is historic palace that has been restored to create a pleasant if austere hotel in the typical Andalusian style. The rooms are comfortable and rustically-decorated, but I have to admit that the beds were large and comfortable. The bathrooms are Andalusian style, which means wide-open and tiled with short walls surrounding the shower rather than the usual curtain.
The owner is a nice if not doddy old man who'll help give you directions and welcome you with a smile.
