The royalty of Hawaii still remains very important
The Governor of Hawaii, John Kuakini, had this mansion built in the year 1838. From 1844 to 1914, the palace was using the Hawaiian royal family as a summer home. In 1925 it became a museum and today almost everything that was in the original monarchy house has been restored. This was the last home of King Kamehameha I. The views from the garden are beautiful and when there is a gentle breeze blowing it is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.
