Live cabaret in South Beach
While walking down Ocean Drive on a Saturday afternoon, I came across one of the most popular bars in South Beach: the Palace Bar. Opened in the late 80's, this restaurant-bar is known for its iconic slogan "every queen needs a palace" and its live cabaret featuring lush drag queens and professional dancers parading around the tables. It's primarily a meeting place for the LGBT community, but a group of lookers-on invariably forms on the street around the entrance. Palace Bar also serves casual fast food and large a large menu of cocktails served in massive glasses.
