A wonderful mansion which overlooks the vineyards
A stately mansion south of Barossa Valley. The wines of Southern Australia are the most famous in the country, primarily for having the wine growing areas that export their product (Coonawarra or Barossa and Clare Valleys, for example). This does not mean that there are not small local labels, such as Padthaway, which are worth-while discovering. As interesting as the wine itself, Padthway is perhaps a wonderful mansion (or homestead) which overlooks the vineyards. Apart from accommodation, you can also do wine-tasting or simply have tea with scones (which are cupcakes that are usually eaten in England with tea).
