Pachaug State Forest and Rhododendron Sanctuary
Pachaug State Forest is a public park located on 24,000 acres in Voluntown, Connecticut. Included in the Pachaug State Forest is a Rhododendron Sanctuary, which is a half a mile of swampy Rhododendron habitat. The Rhododendron Sanctuary is beautiful all year around, but particularly stunning during late June or July when Rhododendron are flowering.
