Our Lady of Guide Church

The Church of Our Lady of Guia, more commonly know as Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Guia, is found in the square of the same name which is just opposite the market and the monument of Sargaceiro. It is a modern church, whose appearance resembles that of a boat. The interior looks like an amphitheater, as the ground is sloped down towards the altar. To the left of it is the Virgin of Guia, patroness of seafarers to whom the temple is dedicated, There is a feast to celebrate the virgin between the dates of 13th-22nd of August.
