A beautiful interior
This convent, located in the commercial center of the city, in front of the Military Government, is one of four that remain in Badajoz, of the 16 that once stood in the city. It was founded in the fourteenth century by Fray Simn de Sousa, and is popularly known as "The Barefoot". It has a simple, austere facade, and inside the chapel is quite beautiful, with several altarpieces of interest (especially the size of the Virgin of Mercy), as well as the tomb of the Count of Torre del Fresno .
