From the refuge of Orisson to Roncesvalles
We got up at 6:30. The night was cold, and we had slept well. Lunch was at 7:00 and it was a little lacking. The morning was windy but clear, which gave us good vibes to cross the Pyrenees without problems. At 8:00 we were ready to start. All pilgrims went out at the same time and we went in a caravan. We left the platoon at our own pace. The road runs parallel and there are alpine meadows. We left the road to get to Urdanarre Cross. Here we had to take a path to get to Bentartea hill where we could see an interesting refuge. Then the road is straight and gave us a break. The trail runs parallel to the wire fence that represents the border between France and Spain.
