Nice Arquitecture
Orduña is known for being the only city of Biscay (Bilbao has the title of town). Its historic past has left us a beautiful group of buildings.
From the outskirts of town, we can already see the Santa María Parish Church, a great church from the 15th Century of gothic style. Next to it are the remains of an old wall that, along with the walls of the church, were built to defend the city. Towards the center of town we will find a big arcaded square, Foru Plaza, surrounded by interesting buildings like the City Hall with its crenellated tower, the baroque style Church of San Juan, the old customs building (today a hotel), the palace of Mimenza (renaissance) and Díaz Pimienta (baroque).
