Oratorio del Calvario

The Oratorio del Calvario is located on a 279 meter high hill called "Mount Calvary," which is only accessible by foot. With the battles of 1793, the chapel and surroundings were completely destroyed. It was in 1967 when it was decided that they would set up the chapel, was inaugurated on June 8, 1969. The first Sunday of Lent is a procession there. There is a vast wooden cross 8 feet tall and stone sheets that line the chapel to prevent access to the pottokas and sheep grazing in the place.
