Old Town of Vitré, Medieval City

Opposite the majestic castle of this city located in the French region of Brittany, there is a small set of streets that you must visit if you actually get this far. It has been described as the "City of Art and History" because of its wide, rich heritage, monasteries and houses, various churches, museums, a fine railway station set in a red brick neo-Gothic palace, and a network of streets (Rue d'EMBAs or the Poterie) and squares (Marchix) which is an absolute delight to walk around and admire.
