The Old Ship Hotel

The Old Ship Hotel is part of the Barceló hotel chain. It is situated on King's Road, with views of the sea and Brighton Pier. It is a convenient starting place to discover this small city on foot. Families and children are welcome here, they also organize weddings and corporate events in their reception rooms. It is an ancient hotel, full of history, where King Charles II hid after he escaped, for example, and later arriving guests at the Royal Pavilion, the summer palace stayed. It was used for royal balls, and there the famous violinist Nicholas Paganini played. One of the rooms still bears his name.

The hotel is very cozy and has been renovated to offer all modern comforts. The basic rooms start at 79 pounds per night, but this is a fixed rate. With breakfast it works out at 99 pounds and breakfast and dinner for 139 pounds. There is wifi in the rooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities complete with biscuits.
