Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort

The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort Historic Park is a state park where you will find the Old Mormon Fort, the first structure built by people of European blood in what would later become Las Vegas, 50 years later. It is located east of Las Vegas Boulevard and north of the city center and Fremont Street. A visitor center is available to offer help to tourists and explain the history of the fortress and the subsequent settlement that has transformed into the city you see today. The fort is included on the National Register of Historic Places.
