Southern-style barbecue
Chicago is a great city that embraces their own style but celebrates other cuisines and styles of culture.
One of these styles is the southern or creole style. Part of being southern is being a smokehouse, and this is what Old Crow is. A smokehouse is called such because they smoke their meats such as pork, chicken, beef and put together a combination of delicious sauces to smother it in. Old Crow is even special enough to have a robota grill which is a Japanese version of a grill/smoker.
Old Crow was chocked full of classics like pulled pork sliders, coleslaw, and fried pickled okra! I had to try the robota grill and got the Thai Curry Chicken skewers!
Their beer list is not very impressive, but their facility is! It is gorgeous with high wooden rafters and wooden crafted tables and chairs. It looks like a rooftop area will soon be available, and the glass roof slides open to make it suddenly outside.
