Old city

Un des charmes de La Canée, et non des moindres, réside dans sa vieille ville, "Topanas", chargée d'histoire. Les tables des restaurants envahissent les ruelles : grande convivialité et atmosphère plutôt festive. Délaissant l'odos Halidon et ses boutiques de bijoutiers, on a plaisir à s'enfoncer sur les arrières du port en direction du bastion Schiavo, envahi d'herbes. Puis on redescend par des venelles jusqu'au port vénitien où l'on revient comme aimanté par le charme de la rade.

One of the charms of Chania, and not least, is its old town, "Topanas" steeped in history. Restaurant tables invade the streets: user-friendly and rather festive atmosphere. Leaving the Odos Halidon and jewelers shops, it is a pleasure to sink on the rear of the port towards the bastion Schiavo, overgrown grass. Then descends through alleys until Venetian harbor where we return as magnetized by the charm of the harbor.
