Cusco es un fantástico lugar para inspirar a los artistas, y la familia Olave es un buen ejemplo, ya que ademá del maestro Antonio Olave, trabajan con él su su esposa Avelina y sus hijos Francisco, Lidia, Washington, Vito Moisés y María Josefina. Su arte se inspira en la época colonial de los siglos XVI y XVII, de temática religiosa. Su imaginería escultórica, no reproduce las obras de la época colonial sino que las recrea con un estilo personal. Sus obras más famosas son los llamados Manuelitos en distintas posturas, como “el Dormidito”, “el Sentadito” y “el de la Espina”.
Cusco is a great place to inspire artists and Olave family is a good example, since Antonio Olave Adema teacher, working with him his wife and children Avelina Francisco, Lidia, Washington, Vito Moses and Mary Josephine. His art is inspired by the colonial era of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, religious themes. His sculptural imagery, does not reproduce the works of the colonial era but recreates them with a personal style. His most famous works are called Manuelitos in different positions, "the dormidito", "the sentadito" and "of the Thorn".
