Oklahoma City Museum of Art

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art has a complicated history that began in the 20th century with the creation of the Oklahoma League of Art. Its expansion and importance continued to grow through through the 1930s until the 1950s. The conservative movement eventually converted it into the the Art Museum of Oklahoma in 1989.
