Octave of Corpus

Each year Valverde de los Arroyos celebrates eight days after the celebration of Corpus Christi. This year it will be held from June 19 through June 22. The main attraction of the event is "the Dance in Honor of the Blessed Sacrament" which is held in the square. There is one group of 8 dancer as well as a piper bottarga, and all are descendants of the people whose " post "is passed from generation to generation. The Dances has been around for 400 years and is currently only done during wartime. Another of the "activities" that are made is the representation of a Sacramental by a theater group formed by the young men.
