Urban Biosphere Reserve
The Oca Lagoon was declared by UNESCO as the first urban biosphere reserve in the world. It´s located south of the city of Formosa only 5 minutes from the center. It comprises a wetland of 16,000 hectares depending on the Paraguay River. It´s the tenth biosphere reserve in Argentina and the sixtieth of the world.
