Waves are scarce
O Grove, besides being a town known for seafood and beaches, is home to some of the best canoeists and rowers of Spain, even the world. This Water Sports Pavilion trains such athletes. The natural characteristics of the Ria de Arosa, the enclave where this pretty coastal village is in Pontevedra province, allows canoeing and rowing throughout the year as waves in this part of the estuary are scarce. Both sports have a long tradition in the area and competitions are regularly held.
