Nueva Taberna Plaza Mayor Restaurant

The Nueva Taberna Plaza Mayor restaurant reopened its doors in March 2011 with a completely renovated image and very modern facilities.

The bar is located on the ground floor and has a very modern decor with 8 or 10 tables along the bar, towards the back is a staircase leading to the first floor, which has been moved and now on the upper floor there is no longer the roof space that acted as a terrace from which you could see the floor below.

It has kept the glass windows that represent the Palencia agricultural and livestock calendar, and of the rest nothing remains, being that everything is brand new: tiles, chairs, tables, crockery, cutlery, tablecloths ... even the menu is new.

Located in the heart of the Palencia capital, it gets its name being that it is located just off the Plaza Mayor.

Access to the restaurant is gained through the porticos of the plaza.

They have a varied menu a special meal and a meal of the day at a great price.

We usually always ask for the special menu consisting of starter: Iberian sausage, Palencia cerrato cheese, grilled langoustine, grilled prawns and squid.
