Congregation of Sisters´ humble little school
The Congregation of the Sisters of the Garden came to Victoria from the city of Cordoba in the year 1893, with the same aim which was the care and assistance to the sick, in that case to the Charity Hospital. They opened a small private school with 65 students from different parts of Victoria, helped with books and supplies by the General Education Council. Considering the Council an inappropriate place, it was closed and a few years later they opened a Home for Girls. They also set up a school to educate and instruct in the religious and moral duties. The first school for girls began in May 25 and Sarmiento on 1 March of the year 1895, the sisters were in charge of educational classrooms, pupils and free school.
It also taught all kinds of trades such as sewing, embroidery, knitting etc.., Besides painting, music and French. In February 1902, it acquired the current structure, which once ran the Arts and Crafts Club (Jockey Club). It was inaugurated on January 8, 1903. The date of construction of the Chapel is the year 1920 and the entire structure is in perfect condition. It is 1 block from the Plaza San Martin, the parish church "Our Lady of Aranzazu" and the Palacio Municipal.
