It was destroyed by an earthquake in the seventeenth century and 10 kilometers were completely rebuilt in the Baroque style. It is very simple and even today, the city is full of marble. The churches, the palaces, schools, social housing, everything is marble! The impression of freedom you have when walking in the streets is amazing! if you like architectural masterpieces, go to Noto as the entire city has been classified as a Unesco world heritage site.
