Great place for cheese in Borough Market
Even among all the amazing products and craft producers in London's bustling Borough Market, I have to admit that Neal's Yard Dairy knocked my socked off. Just imagine yourself wandering around the market and coming across a pair of blue wooden doors through which you see shelves upon shelves of massive curing cheeses and a table running the length of the room piled high with about every cheese imaginable. Well, that's Neal's Yard Deli.
Neal's Yard Deli is a chain of cheese shops in England that stocks the best artesanal cheeses from around Ireland and Great Britain as well as a select few from abroad. As soon as you walk in, the be-smocked staff gives you a warm welcome and begins to slice off tasty wedges of their top cheeses for you to try. The sheer variety of cheeses is almost overwhelming: hard, soft, blue, cow's milk, goat's milk, sheep's milk, English, Spanish, French, Italian...you almost don't know where to start. Luckily, the staff are helpful and, after gauging your tastes, can usually recommend something you'll like.
