Natural Park of Mavrovo

Mavrovo or Macedonian Маврово, is in the northwest of Macedonia. It's a National Park and they have a winter sports center. Mount Bistra and Lake Mavrovo have helped this region create year-round tourism. Mavrovo is the most popular ski center in the country. The ski center Zare Lazareski was recently renovated. The ski slopes start at 1960 and finish at 1250 m. The Mavrovo lake lies at an altitude of 1220 m. It is 12 km long and 3 km wide and covers an area of ​​13.3 square km. The coast is 24 km long. Its deepest part is 48 meters.
