National Museum of Scotland

The National Museum of Scotland is adjacent to the National Museum of Scotland. It's a very impressive and diverse museum with collections ranging from fauna and flora, life-size animals, British and international wildlife (with the areas where the species are found) and lots of interactive games for children. There's an old part with Egyptian mummies which is also well explained, several objects brought from English voyages of exploration, a collection of porcelain, precious objects of antiquity and explanations of the movements of peoples and ethnic groups through the ages. In the main room, which has a glass roof that makes it very clear, there is a large totem from Africa and a concert of Scottish orchestra, children could sit at a table to drawing and discover activities of the museum.

The National Museum of Scotland is located close to the Royal Mile. It is a really complete and interesting museum that tells the history of Scotland and her people, as well as the often complicated story of the relationship between Scotland and England that led to the United Kingdom. You can see old Scottish machines, like a locomotive that is started twice a day and old models of boats or cars. There are also examples of everyday life from the time of the industrial revolution. You can see how the government changed and developed the region with social buildings, allowing people to leave the horrific one-room houses in which families often lived - and died - before.

It's the second time I went there and I really hope to go again.

It was really interesting but at the same time we had a lot of fun together!
